In the years that I have been involved with the Young Living products, I have been very impressed with their manufacturing process, the amount of money they invest into researching the best methods for distilling oils and formulating products, and with their integrity in maintaining the highest standards for purity and efficacy of their products. Over the past 15 years, Young Living has established itself as a global leader in the development of nature’s purest healthcare products. To date Young Living is the largest supplier of essential oils in the world.
Young
Living Essential Oils are different from most oils in the market. Young Living oils are therapeutic-grade A, unadulterated
and steam-distilled under very low pressure and low temperatures to preserve
the therapeutic properties. This is a
very costly process and most manufacturers are not able and/or willing to cover
that expense. In fact, in order to
increase profits, many manufacturers will adulterate their oils by adding
synthetic constituents which may be effective on a short-term basis but lead to
long-term complications. Using an oil
that has been adulterated can create contraditions in the body, cause inability
to assimilate nutrients, interfere with growth hormone receptors, compromise the
immune system, interfere with digestive enzyme secretions, causing gas,
bloating, etc…the list is endless.
Because
of all the harm that adulterated oils can cause, it is important to know your
manufacturer. And just because you read
articles on the effects of peppermint oil, for instance, don’t assume that any
peppermint oil will have that affect. Only oils that meet the AFNOR* standard
can produce therapeutic effect. All
Young Living oils meet the AFNOR standards.
We welcome distributors and visitors alike to visit the Young Living Lavender Farm in Mona, Utah, and see our entire operation, including our original proprietary design for low-temperature spiral vortex steam distillation. This exacting method maximizes the extraction of the delicate compounds that often have the most therapeutic effect. Our facility in Mona, Utah is the largest privately owned distillery operation for aromatic plants in the world. Our distillery in Ecuador houses the largest single 14,500-liter cooker in North, Central, and South America.
[One of the most reliable indicators of essential oil quality is the AFNOR (Association French Normalization Organization Regulation) or ISO (International Standards Organization) certification which has set standards for therapeutic-grade essential oils. This standard is more stringent and differentiates true therapeutic-grade essentials from those with inferior chemistry.]
